Bio: Dr. Weyerbacher is a Senior Scientist in the Research and Innovation (formerly known as Research and Development) division at L’Oreal USA, a world leader in the cosmetics industry. Since joining L’Oreal in 2009, Dr. Weyerbacher has been responsible for the evaluation, approval and support of the clinical safety of multiple consumer products and new technology applications, ensuring compliance with international regulatory requirements and claim substantiation. The safety testing program consists of clinical test methodologies as well as in-vitro methods. Dr. Weyerbacher’s graduate research focused on the identification of critical pain signaling proteins, cytokines and immune/central nervous system interactions as relevant drug targets for clinical pain control using in an animal model of persistent pain. From 2001-2003, Dr. Weyerbacher was a Clinical Research Associate at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In this role, she managed an active Phase I/II clinical trial program, defining and monitoring project scope, timelines and deliverables from project initiation to close-out. She has presented her comprehensive research in pharmacology, neuroscience and oncology at several scientific conferences. Dr. Weyerbacher earned her Ph.D. in Pharmacology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, NY and her B.A. degree in Biology-Chemistry from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
