Bio: Oded Spindel is the Investment Manager for Excell Partners, a Seed-stage Venture Capital Firm with a strong presence in the life science industry. Oded earned his Engineering, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in the life sciences and is currently finishing his M.B.A.. He is passionate about combining these two areas and working with entrepreneurs to find exciting growth opportunities in the life sciences industry. Using his diverse background, Oded bridges the science and business worlds to identify what ‘makes the right’ high-potential venture. Prior to Excell Partners, Oded was a Ph.D. student at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, NY where he investigated cardiovascular diseases. Prior to his Ph.D., he attended Ort Bradue College in Israel getting his Biotechnology Engineering Degree. As part of his other endeavors, Oded traveled around the world for 10 months and was also a Chief Petty Officer on a Navy Submarine.
