Post-doctoral position in Transcription and Epigenetics Research in HIV

A postdoctoral position is available for a joint project in the laboratories of Dr. Iván D’Orso and Dr. Elisabeth Martinez at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study transcriptional regulation and epigenetic mechanisms in HIV. Our laboratories have several exciting funded projects that seek to use genomic, pharmacological, biochemical and molecular biology techniques to define the role of transcriptional/epigenetic pathways during HIV infection. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and be recent graduates, not having held an earlier postdoctoral position for more than about 2 years. Experience in transcription and chromatin biology, deep sequencing, and large-scale data analysis leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended.
