Columnist: Omari J. Bandele, PhD
Omari J. Bandele, PhD, is a research chemist at the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) within the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN). Omari earned a B.S. in chemistry at Tennessee State University and a PhD in biochemistry from Vanderbilt University. Prior to his current position at the FDA, Omari was a postdoctoral fellow in molecular genetics at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).
