As an AAAS Science & Technology Policy fellow at the National Science Foundation, I have had the opportunity to work in the area of program evaluation in Engineering Education. My daily activities vary from performing data and text mining that frame decisions of our programs to organizing workshops that serve to bolster our relationship with the scientific community. As a fellow, I also serve as planning member of the National Maker Faire where I work closely with representatives from other federal agencies at the White House. This fellowship has been an exciting experience that unlike academia is focused on helping me develop the skills needed to succeed in various career paths.
