    So, what do you want to be when you grow up? Did you want to be a fire or policeman? How about a medical doctor?  Kids are typically interested in being something exciting. I wanted to be a baseball player. When did I actually decide what I was going to be? Well, I am still working on that one.  Like many scientists, I was drawn to science because I felt there was this purity and realness to seeking truth you cannot find in other careers. I felt I was good at research, and the sky was the limit. Even as a graduate student, I felt that way.
