    To say that the adjustment into parenthood is the ‘best but most challenging life change,’ is the understatement of the year.   As I write this, my toddler is running all over my living room yelling, “Hooray! Hooray!” while banging on my laptop from time to time.  I had the fantasy that working part-time would be exactly that—I would teach and then spend the rest of my “free time” enjoying my baby.   Yeah…it doesn’t really work that way.  I WORK as a stay-at-home mom during the day and I teach at night.  Juggling our roles as parents and faculty is not easy.  Being a parent is a full-time job, and there are some unique obstacles that come along with part-time teaching.   Here are a few suggestions that I find to be helpful.
